Facebook will ban US-based political ads indefinitely after the governmental election, trying to avert confusion over its outcomes. “While ads are an important way to reveal voice, we plan to momentarily stop running all social issue, electoral, or political ads in the United States after the polls close on November 3rd, to reduce chances for confusion or abuse,” the business says<\/a><\/p>\n Facebook is reacting to the widespread issues that social media could muddle election outcomes. It currently labels some election-related posts with a link to its Voting Information Center, but if a candidate incorrectly declares they have actually won the election, Facebook will include “more particular information” contradicting the claim.<\/p>\n
