Willie Nelson Encourages Americans to ‘Vote ‘Em Out’ in New Animated Video

With the U.S. election just weeks away, artists are urging their fans to go out and vote on November 3. C and w legend Willie Nelson, nevertheless, decided to take his advice one step further.

In a brand-new animated video for his 2018 single “Vote ‘Em Out,” the outspoken star is asking that voters utilize the election to unseat those in power with a simple message; “If you do not like who’s in there, vote ’em out.” The brand-new clip shows cartoon voters casting their ballots, which Nelson pointedly calls “the biggest gun we got.”

Nelson initially premiered the song at a 2018 rally for then-Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke in Austin, Texas as he ran versus long time Republican Senator Ted Cruz. Throughout the song, Nelson berates the Republican party as he sings, “If it’s a lot of clowns you Election day is comin’ ’round again.”
