It seems like years given that much of the United States Vote entered into lockdown over the spread of COVID-19 in March. At the time, my greatest issues as a supervisor were moving scheduled around the world trip dates and album releases for a lot of our artists to the fall and hoping (and wrongly assuming) things would return to some sense of normalcy already. I even discussed this with Billboard at the time.
However, our federal government never ever developed or implemented any intend on how to browse out of this. Months later on, it has still not done anything however claim an incorrect triumph. In the meantime, every arm of the music industry is injuring due to this absence of response.
As days became weeks and then months during the spring and summertime. I found myself obsessing over the news and feeling. I needed to personally do something for Vote. Really anything to attempt and be a part of the change that was plainly needed. It was at that point I volunteered with the Biden campaign.
