When hearing the word diet, most individuals think about greens, no sugar, no carbs, and begin freaking out. Giving up on some of your favorite foods can be extremely hard and at times it takes a toll on your mental health as dieting can be tough on certain people. However, we want to take care of our body and make sure we are providing it with the best nutrients and staying healthy. Luckily for us, there are ways in which we can eat our favorite meals while sticking to a healthy diet that will be beneficial.
Are you wondering how? How can you eat chocolate and be healthy? How can you eat a slice of pizza without feeling guilty about it? You are not alone! We all ask ourselves these questions at some point in our lives. The great thing is Liana Werner-Gray has the perfect answer for us: The Earth Diet.
The Woman Behind the Diet
Like the big majority of the population, Liana Werner-Gray indulged in junk food, sugars, and carbs a little too often. She used these types of food to calm her nerves and deal with anxiety, “When I was in the Miss Earth Australia beauty pageant and remember being so nervous that I would binge eat on gummy bears right before going on stage.” And without realizing it or even thinking about it, she became addicted to junk food. The lifestyle she was leading, landed her at the hospital with a lump on her neck.
Every doctor she saw gave her a different diagnosis. She was confused and scared for her health. But Werner-Gray remembered the eating habits of the Indigenous people in Australia and she was inspired by them to change her own habits into healthier ones. She said, “I was fascinated how the indigenous people took from the Earth to support their existence, and then gave back to the Earth, living in a very harmonious healthy way.” After her health scare, she knew it was time to eat more nutritious food.
Liana began eating wholesome food, juicing, and receiving natural treatments—like colonics—to help dissolve her lump. In three months, the lump was dissolving and she was as healthy as ever. What helped her was holding herself accountable by having a blog in which she shared her experience for 365 days. This resonated with many individuals and led to her writing two books; one of them being The Earth Diet.
The Earth Diet
As a Health and Nutrition Coach, Werner-Gray understands how people struggle with addiction, overeating, impulsive eating, binge eating, emotional eating, and different eating disorders. She was one of those individuals. But she learned how to turn her life around and now dedicates her time to helping others who struggle as much as she has.
With The Earth Diet, she encourages everyone to eat whole foods and exchange their traditional beauty and household products for a natural version. It was with these lifestyle changes in mind that she created the Upgrading System. How does this work?
For example upgrading to making fries at home with organic potatoes or organic frozen French fries vs. cutting out fries for a lifetime - which is not realistic. We are human and we love pleasure, it never works to tell a person “you can never eat this again” so instead I teach “here are the fries, cookies, chocolate, pizza that are safe to eat and you will also get nutrition from, without destroying your brain or health.”
At the end of the day, Liana Werner-Gray is trying to help people become their healthiest selves. The Earth Diet offers healing, energy, and vitality. And you can trust the results because the author is the living-proof of how this diet works for the best.
