Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum Deliver Musical Duets In The Middle Of ‘Jurassic World: Rule’ Filming

Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum offered their fans a Jurassic-sized quarantine reunion on Monday (Sept. 7) after Neill published videos of the 2 providing duets of several timeless tunes, consisting of “I Remember You” and “A Great Love.”

The Jurassic World: Rule stars, who are currently recording the Colin Trevorrow-directed film in the U.K., appeared side-by-side in the videos, which ranged from just over one-minute to almost three-minutes in length. Goldblum mainly played the piano and supplied back-up vocals to Neill’s take on the 1962 hit “I Remember You,” which he published to Twitter. The tune was notoriously covered by Doris Day and originally sung by Australian nation singer Frank Ifield.

” It’s a day off. So we’ve been singing a bunch of old tunes. Jeff won’t practice, so it’s first go or absolutely nothing,” Neill wrote in the caption of the “A Great Romance” video, which he published to his Instagram account. “@jeffgoldblum makes me laugh immoderately.”

During their renditions of musical numbers, including Swing Time‘s “A Fine Romance” and My Fair Woman‘s “I have actually Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” the 2 crooned together in a sing-songy conversation, sometimes breaking between lines for a little call-and-response and to break a couple of jokes.

In response to Neill’s Twitter post, JoJo Rabbit and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi tweeted, “This week just gets better and BETTER. Two of my favourite ls right here.”

The videos are the current in a series of quarantine social media posts from the Thor: Ragnorak and The Hunt For Red October star. The videos have ranged from hilariously personal clips of the actor drinking red wine, washing his shoes and speaking with gnomes to Neill reciting poetry and singing Radiohead Neill has also shared a series of short movies filmed from another location including former Delighted Town co-star Steven Weber, Matrix actor Hugo Weaving, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Goldblum and Neill are making their Jurassic franchise return along with fellow Jurassic Park cast members Laura Dern and B.D. Wong. The film, which is presently slated to strike theaters June 11, 2021, also stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard CyberBingo, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda .
