Niecy Nash surprised fans late last month when she posted photos from her surprise wedding event to vocalist Jessica Betts. She announced the big news via Instagram with a basic caption that check out “Mrs. Carol Denise Betts @jessicabettsmusic #LoveWins @robertector.” Nash had previously been wed twice in the past, both times to guys, and she tells Individuals in a new interview that her present relationship isn’t about gender.
“[My marriage] has absolutely nothing to do with gender and it has whatever to do with her soul,” Nash said. “She is the most stunning soul I have ever fulfilled in my life.”
She continued, “I was not reducing my sexuality my entire life. I love who I enjoy. At one point in my life, I married two times and I love those individuals. And today I enjoy this person. I’ve done whatever I wanted to do on my own terms and my own method. My option now in a partner has absolutely nothing to do with who I’ve always been. It refers who I remain in this moment.”

Nash wouldn’t characterize this minute in her life as a coming out. “I don’t seem like my marriage is my coming out of anywhere, but rather a going into myself and being sincere about who I enjoy,” she says. “And I’m not restricting myself on what that enjoy is expected to appear like.”
So how did Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts fall in love anyhow? Well, they were friends. “I enjoyed her before I loved her since she is such a special person,” Nash states. “However we began to see each other in a manner we never had previously. Often you get so broken by love, you range from it. I have actually found out that you must always hold area for magic since it can take place at any time.”
