You know what they say about Texas? Everything is bigger there, right? Well, when it comes to serial entrepreneur Sierra Nicole, she’s making big strides in business and finance in her hometown of Dallas — proving there’s truth in that old saying.
It’s difficult even to know where to begin when trying to explain all Sierra does. At age 23, she says she has not worked a traditional job in three years. So, that means at age 20-ish, Sierra was hustling away at building her empire. And empire is not an exaggeration.
An unusual business choice
Let’s start at the beginning — Sierra defines her business title as ‘business credit and funding expert; motivational speaker and financial coach; and real estate investor.’ However, all of these jobs are off-shoots of her first business, which might seem an unusual choice to some.
Sierra’s first successful business venture was co-owning a trucking company. That’s right — this sophisticated, black businesswoman says the trucking industry taught her all of the ‘ins and outs’ of business. And she’s so good at it now, she even offers a Trucking Course explaining how she navigated the trucking industry by growing a small fleet of semi-trucks, hiring drivers, and buying essential equipment.
Branching out
From this first taste of entrepreneurship, Sierra opened a small business financing company to help other aspiring entrepreneurs meet their business goals. Having an interest in real estate, Sierra says she started real estate investing without spending a single dollar of her own money. This adventure grew into her own Airbnb that she says is an excellent source of essentially passive income. Because this experience has been so lucrative, Sierra offers an Airbnb coaching course explaining her success and teaching other people to follow her lead with a business that runs on ‘autopilot’ and produces an additional income stream.
Sierra is also a driving force in her community as the CEO of Financially Lit, Inc., and a member of The Collective Movement. Financially Lit, Inc., is a financial education company dedicated to teaching the black community financial literacy and entrepreneurship. The Collective Movement is a program designed to assist business owners ready to take their business to the next level with branding, digital products, business structure, business credit, and investing.
An inspiring community leader and teacher
Sierra provides an array of services and additional courses through her website Sierra Nicole such as small business financing, entrepreneurial development, credit building, and business development. But she has a particular niche. Sierra says, “I utilize TikTok, IG reels, and other social media to create engaging and fun ways to teach business ownership and financial literacy.”
Because teaching has become her superpower, Sierra is an adjunct professor who teaches virtual financial literacy courses with the 3E Program. The 3E Program is a non-profit which assists black and brown first-year students at Yale, Howard, and Virginia State. In this program, Sierra helps ensure students have the resources they need to develop healthy financial habits that can sustain a lifetime.

So, running her businesses and coaching might seem like enough. These responsibilities certainly keep her busy. But there’s more. Sierra Nicole is one of the founding members of the Dallas/Fort Worth Black Real Estate Investor Association (BREIA). As a founding member of BREIA, Sierra is committed to her community. The DFW BREIA provides an educational platform for aspiring and experienced investors. They seek members who can assist in creating wealth in their community through business and economics.
